The Proctor Varsity Girls' Basketball team traveled to Noble and Greenough School to take on a talented Hamden Hall team. After a close game through the first half, the girls were able to pull away in the final five minutes to win 58-48. The win capped an impressive 20-1 season and the first Class C Championship in Girls' Basketball history for Proctor Academy!

Suffield Academy Captures 2008 Class B Girls' Basketball Title

In a close and hard fought game at Noble & Greenough School, Suffield earned the New England class B prep school championship with a 36-29 victory over Governors Academy.

Down by one point at the half, Suffield pulled away in the final minutes for the victory. Cherelle Allen '08 earned the tournament most valuable player award.

It was an exciting finish to an outstanding season for the team, led by Coach Wayne Patterson and seniors Kelly Slattery, Cherelle Allen, Barbara Kaplan, Reagen Teed, Emily Leech, and Courtney LaGanke.

Brimmer and May's Heather Gates Scores 1,000th Career Point

Brimmer and May junior point guard, Heather Gates, scored her 1,000th career point during the IGC semi-final game with Montrose on Feb. 14. Heather has averaged 20ppg this season and has been indispensable to her team's success. Brimmer and May went 11-6 during the regular season. Heather is only the second girl in school history to reach this milestone! She also holds the school record for most points in a single game (38.) Congratulations Heather!

Tilton School's Cohen, Iannotti Sign National Letters of Intent


Nashua’s Alex Cohen, the daughter of Michelle and David Cohen and a three-year senior at Tilton School in Tilton, N.H., signed her National Letter of Intent to play basketball with Manhattan College on Wednesday, November 14.

Cohen, who began at Tilton during her sophomore season, has made two consecutive trips to the NEPSAC championship game with the Rams. To end the 2010-2011 season, the Rams captured the NEPSAC Class C Championship after also winning the Lakes Region Championship. That was followed by a second Lakes Region Championship in 2011-2012, and a return trip to the finals, this time for the NEPSAC Class B Championship game. The Rams have compiled an impressive 45-7 record during Cohen’s first two seasons, and are an early favorite to return to the championship this season. Cohen has been selected as a captain for her senior year and was a NEPSAC all star her sophomore year.
