Third Straight NEPSTA Championship for Roxbury Latin Track & Field

RL Track and Field won its 3rd straight New England Championship in Bath, ME, setting a meet record for total points scored with 137. Aman Stuppard was named Meet MVP, winning the Triple Jump, 200m, anchoring the winning 4x100m team and finishing 2nd in the 100m dash. Joey Mullen set a New England Championship Meet Record in the 3000m, running 8:59.98. Gregory Bunce is RL's new School record holder in the javelin, improving his personal best by nearly 17 feet — from 154' 08" to 171 '07". Stephen Golden tied the oldest School record on the books (going back to 1898) by pole vaulting 11' on his first attempt.

Belmont Hill Track Team Wins Division II New England Championship
The Belmont Hill track team capped its amazing 2011 season by following last week's ISTA title with a New England Championship Saturday at Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, MA. The only first place finish was Ian Meyer in the 1500 meter run, but in a true team effort the team competed strongly in every event to pile up points and garner the win. Two for the Big Blue: Both boys and girls win track and field championships!
The Phillips Academy Boy's and Girl's track teams each won the New England Prep School Division 1 Track chamionships held at Deerfield Academy on Saturday. The boy's team scored 98 points to finish 1st in a 12-team field. Loomis Chaffee was 2nd with 88 points. It was the boy's 2nd title in a row and they won it in dramatic fashion. With only three events remaining, the boys were in third place. Clutch performances in the triple jump sealed the win. Senior captain Malcom Mason Rodriguez won two events and scored a team-high 29 points.
Suffield Academy Boys' Track and Field wins the 2010 Division II New England Championship
On Saturday, May 15, the boys’ track and field team traveled to Byfield, Massachusetts and won the New England Prep School Division II Championship for the second consecutive year. After winning by a one-point cushion last year, the Tigers finished 45 points ahead of second place Belmont Hill. The Tigers were able to defend the title with balanced scoring throughout the events.
Suffield Academy's Lester Taylor '11 to Compete in Junior Central American and Caribbean Games
Lester was selected to compete based on his performance at the Bahamian Junior (Under 20) National Championships, where he took 2nd place in the 1500 meters. Lester followed up his performance at the Junior Nationals with a 2nd place at the Open Nationals in the same event.
Lester completed his junior year at Suffield without losing a single race. He was the New England Champion in the 800 meters and 1500 meters. He also anchored the champion 1600-meter relay team. Lester is the school and New England Prep School Division II record holder in the 800 meters with a time of 1:56.23...More Information
